We had an engineer from GM's Brand Protection Support Team, along with Don Floyd, apprise us on counterfeit airbags as they appear to be getting more cases involving such of late.  They believe it's actually occurring more than what they know and wanted to educate the crash folks on the topic. Please see the link for the presentation.

This training illustrates how and why restraint systems reduce injury through hands-on activities, deployments, samples, lecture, demonstrations, problem solving, and case studies. After the training, attendees will better understand restraint system history, inner workings, and nuances in performance across a variety of circumstances (eg, pregnant occupants, out-of-position sitting, etc.).
